Last Golden Team Player Passes Away
Football player József Tóth, the last surviving member of Hungary’s 1950s Golden Team, died on Monday at the age of 88, the Hungarian Football Association announced.

Tóth played in the national team on 12 occasions during 1953-57, and scored a goal when Hungary defeated England 7-1 in Budapest on May 23, 1954.

He was also part of the 1954 World Cup team, which lost in the final to West Germany.
