2,000+ Hungarian Musicians To Mark Bach’s Birthday
The birth anniversary of Johann Sebastian Bach will be celebrated at over 100 locations in Hungary, with some 2,000 performers in 300 concerts between March 21 and 25.

The Hungarian festival follows the Bach in the Subways international programme, offering free concerts to the public on and around the birthday of the composer.

Events in Hungary will open with a concert by the Hungarian Police Orchestra at the Budapest Music Center on March 20, Zalán Kovács, the founder of the Hungarian festival, said.

“It is important to remove the walls of concert halls and build a bridge between the stage and the audience,” Kovács, a tuba artist himself, said.

Bach was born on March 21, 1685.
