Guest Author: Pirkko Saisio @ International Book Festival
International Book Festival Budapest is regarded as one of the most important events for professional authors in Hungary. This year the event is organized 19-22 April and the Finnish guest author is Finlandia-award winning Pirkko Saisio.

Saisio is one of the most important contemporary authors in Finland right now.

At the Book Festival the first part of Saisio’s autobiographic trilogy, Pienin yhteinen jaettava, is presented. The book has been translated into Hungarian by Ildikó Varga P. and it’s published by the publishing house Polar.

Saisio’s work paints a picture of her life, upbringing and childhood. Except for novels, Saisio has also written several plays, television and movie manuscripts and song lyrics.

Every year the event is visited by up to 60 000 people.
