Budapest Honvéd FC To Build Stadium
Sports club Budapest Honvéd will start to build its new football stadium in 2019, owner George F. Hemingway told Digi Sport television on Monday.

Honvéd will lose the stigma of not having a new or renovated stadium despite playing in the top flight, he underlined.

The winner for the construction of the New Bozsik Stadium with 8,200 seats will be named this year.

The project is financed by the state. The club must cover only 30% of the extra costs which were not listed in the original plan.

Hemingway denied that he has sold the club, contrary to rumours. He estimated the value of Honvéd at HUF 10 billion and said he probably would not refuse an appropriate offer.
