BFO Gala Invitation: Let's Get Together & Create Change Via Music
The Budapest Festival Orchestra (BFO) is getting ready for the greatest celebration of the orchestra's year: their Season-Opening Gala on 22 September where they are raising funds for one of their most important youth programmes. Join the event, meet an exciting and international group of people, and hear one of the best orchestras in the world.

Organisers say they are preparing special auction items for you. More from the organisers:

"Oh, that all concerts were like its visit to the Proms last week with conductor Iván Fischer. The Budapest Festival Orchestra makes other orchestras look routine and oafish" – the critical reviews after the August performances of the BFO in the Royal Albert Hall, London were just overwhelming. Now you have the chance to meet the conductor and the musicians of this top class orchestra and spend a festive evening with extraordinary people.

"I like the season-opening gala very much, because I can meet friends who are usually in the audience while I am on stage and I never have the chance to talk to them. But here we can. They can meet each other, the top of the intellectual and business circles of Budapest and our major international friends. We have time to spend a wonderful evening together and they all have the opportunity to support something important and good and also to get close to us" – says Iván Fischer, the Music Director of the orchestra.

The BFO is preparing with special auction items for the participants. You can bid for a very rare, original manuscript of Zoltán Kodály, paintings of István Nádler, the Kossuth, Aegon and Prima Primissima prize winner Erzsébet Vojnich or Miklós Szűts, or you can join the orchestra on tour in New York or Hamburg so that you could experience their incredible impact on the international audience.

Book your table with the musicians and the Music Director of the Budapest Festival Orchestra in time.
