Pro-Government Businessman Meszaros Becomes Richest Hungarian

According to the last Top50 list published by Hungarian weekly Forbes, currently, the richest person in Hungary is businessman Lorinc Meszaros, a former pipe-fitter, who hasn’t been on the list only five years ago.

Meszaros also happens to be the mayor of Viktor Orban’s home village, Felcsut.

Forbes has been publishing this list for five years, and they noted that the winner of the list has never been this rich: 381,3 billion HUF.

Meszaros is followed by Sandor Csanyi, head of the OTP Bank with 317,2 billions.

According to the weekly, all the people in the Top5 have significant wealth in properties, commercial properties and lands have also become a significant way of investment.
