Excise guards have found about 11 kilograms of marijuana hidden in the car driven by a Serbian man at the Röszke border station.

Csongrád county tax and customs press officer Éva Némedi-Varga said the customs officers decided to examine the car item by item based on a risk analysis.

They found 10.8kg of marijuana, worth more than Ft 21 million, hidden behind the seats.

The guards handed over the substance and the driver to the police.
