Hungarian Hospitals Accumulating Unpaid Bills
Hospitals added a further Ft 4.3 billion to the total of their overdue invoices in July, raising the total to Ft 47.3 billion, the state treasury MÁK reported on Tuesday.

The total of overdue invoices in the state sector stood at Ft 58.1 billion at the end of July. Of that amount, Ft 30 billion was overdue by 30-60 days and Ft 24 billion was overdue for two months or more.

Budapest’s Péterfy Hospital owed Ft 3.5 billion in overdue invoices, while the Honvéd Hospital, also in Budapest, owed Ft 3.2 billion. The Central Hospital of Békés County owed more than Ft 2 billion in unpaid bills.
