MOL Might Consider Buying Budapest Airport
Answering a speculative question about rumours, chairman and CEO Zsolt Hernádi said MOL might investigate the possibility of purchasing the Liszt Ferenc International Airport in Budapest.

On other matters, he said in an interview with Tele that MOL does not engage in politics, but works hard, and presumably well, independent of governments.

MOL generates 2% of Hungary’s GDP and is responsible for the energy supply in several areas so it has to co-operate with governments, he observed.

Hernádi said the oil industry will not survive in its present form, but with a suitable transformation of fossil activities, including the chemical industry, it will be the main activity of MOL in the coming 10-15 years.

He affirmed that MOL is changing its business model and is aiming to enter different areas of consumer services, such as transport and waste management.
