Nights Spent in Hungary by Foreign Visitors Up By Over 13%
Guest nights spent in commercial and private tourism accommodation in Hungary were 3.8% up in May year on year, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said. 

Whereas the number of guest nights spent by domestic travellers dropped by 4.1% to 1,580,000, nights spent by foreign visitors grew by 13.3% to 1,550.000.

Revenue of commercial accommodations rose by 31% to 49 billion forints (EUR 131m). In the January-May period, the number of guest nights increased by an annual 2% to 11,995,000.

The number spent by domestic travellers fell by 7.3% to 5,903,000, while those spent by foreign visitors increased by 13.1% to 6,091,000.
