From July, related deposits and withdrawals will be restricted and Hungarian banks will reject card payments to illegal gambling sites, the Supervisory Authority for Regulated Activities (SZTFH) said in a statement.

Once the restrictions come into effect, the payment of prizes won on unlicensed sites will also “become uncertain”.

SZTFH recommended gamblers visit its website to check whether an operator has a license or not.
