Free Water for Spectators at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest
In view of the current heat wave, extra measures have been introduced at the World Athletics Championships currently taking place in Budapest

Free water will now be available for spectators inside and outside the stadium, while visitors will be allowed to take in their own liquids in bottles and flasks.

On days with morning programmes, those with valid tickets may occupy shaded areas of the stadium.

As for the athletes, the start of the first event, the men’s 20-kilometre walk, was delayed by two hours, while at the main stadium, the morning schedule started an hour later.

The championships run until 27 August.
