Hungary's Poor Rank Low in EU for Internet Access
Some 4.5% of Hungarians do not have their own access to the internet, the third highest figure in the EU, according to Eurostat data. The EU average is 2.4%.

It is a much bigger problem, HVG observes, that the data show that access to the Internet is very much a question of money.

One in six, or 16.5%, of those who live on less than 60% of the median income, do not have their own access to the internet, well above the EU average of 7.6%.

This figure was higher only in Romania, at 25%, and Bulgaria, at 20.5%.

Finland is right on top, where 99% of the population have their own internet access and only 1% of the poor do not.
