Szerencsejáték, the only legal platform for online gambling in Hungary, is expecting a record year in 2023 in both sports and lottery games, as total revenues could reach Ft 900 billion this year, up from Ft 820 billion in 2022.

The new Tippmixpro website is expected to offer betting options for over a million events annually. It also allows punters to place bets on 15 different e-sports categories.

The traditional Tippmix segment generates higher revenues, but the online platform is posting the fastest growth, said Zoltán Horváth, head of the company’s Odds Centre.

Sports betting has posted double-digit growth in recent months, both in terms of the number and value of bets, Mager said, adding that the segment will soon account for 60% of Szerencsejáték’s revenue.
