Only 1/4 of Companies Plan on Year-End Bonuses in Hungary
A quarter (26%) of the domestic companies classified as competitive plan to distribute year-end bonuses to their employees, the Economic and Entrepreneurship Research Institute of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced its latest survey, during which 1,825 domestic companies were asked about the benefits provided to their employees.

This practice is widespread primarily among larger, partially foreign-owned, as well as industrial and commercial companies.

In addition to regular non-salary benefits, businesses also have the option of giving employees one-off, occasional rewards, such as a Christmas bonus at the end of the year.

Despite this, two-thirds (68%) did not take advantage of this opportunity this year, while only 6% said they had already given such a one-off benefit to their employees during the year.
