I'm Isabel. I'm 26 and I'm from Barcelona. I'm a professional photographer I came to Budapest to do an European Voluntary Service and to have new experiences that can inspire my work.

I aim to capture everything out there to discover all that is within me. That quite dark side moving away from reality, from daily matters.

I prefer to work with film, giving the surprise, the error and the experimentation a chance to surface. And with music, please.


1. When did you arrive in Hungary and what brought you here?
I arrived in May and I am doing my European Voluntary Service in Szatyor Egyesület.

2. Have you ever been an expatriate elsewhere?
No, this is my first time living abroad for a long period.

3. What surprised you most about Hungary?
All the nice people that I have met since I arrived.

4. Friends are in Budapest for a weekend - what must they absolutely see and do?
Go to see the Danube and the illuminated bridges at night and search for a good concert in some of the awesome pubs around the city.

5. What is your favourite Hungarian food?
There are a lot of traditional Hungarian food that I don't eat because I'm vegetarian, but I love parenyica cheese and lángos.

6. What is never missing from your refrigerator?
Sometimes my fridge can be totally empty, but I always have coffee and chocolate in my cupboard.

7. What is your favourite Hungarian word?
“Persze” (of course), it sounds very familiar to me, it seems an Spanish word.

8. What do you miss the most from home?
My family, my friends, my bed, olive oil and authentic patatas bravas.

9. What career other than yours would you love to pursue?
Musician, but I don't have the necessary skills.

10. What's a job you would definitely never want?
A banker.

11. Where did you spend your last vacation?
At home.

12. Where do you hope to spend your next one?
In Turkey.

13. What was your favourite band, film, or hobby as a teen?
Band: Nirvana
Film: Detroit Rock City
Hobby: Buy and listen records

14. Apart of temptation what can't you resist?
Chocolate

15. Red wine or white?
Can I say rosé?

16. Book or movie?
Book.

17. Morning person or night person?
Midday.

18. Which social issue do you feel most strongly about?
Environment issues and animal liberation.

19. Buda side or Pest side?
Pest, where everything can happen.

20. What would you say is your personal motto?
Work for your dreams everyday.
