MOL-PE Circular Economy Science Park Nonprofit, set up by Hungarian oil and gas company MOL and the University of Pannónia (Veszprém, western Hungary), will build a 30 billion forints (EUR 82.0m) innovation and research centre in Nagykanizsa, southwest Hungary, the Ministry of Innovation and Technology said.

Typical is the ‘Jazz Picnic’ in the village of Paloznark, which has just 500 inhabitants. Hosting the annual festival brings in as many as 10,000 visitors, boosting the local economy with the equivalent of over 60,000 euros just in ticket sales.

Hungary’s Economy Ministry Issues Seven Casino Permits

The Economy Ministry has issued seven permits to operate casinos in Hungary. The ministry said the casinos will each pay an annual concession fee of 4 billion forints (EUR 13m) and are expected to each generate around 1 billion forints in VAT revenue per year as well. It added that the casinos will also create jobs and increase tourism.
