Forty-five countries will be represented by their embassies at the sixth local Diplomatic Fair. Stalls will showcase specialities and souvenirs from around the world, and Xpats are invited to enjoy food and drink from over 20 countries in the refreshment area. Hungary is reopening its embassies in Colombia and Peru, the latest issue of the Hungarian Gazette said. The government has decided the embassies in Bogota and Lima will open their gates on May 31, 2017. The Bogota and Lima missions will provide consular services for the whole territory of each respective country, the Gazette said.

Hungary’s Sixty-Four Counties Youth Movement (HVIM), which describes itself as “nationalist radicals”, held an “anti-Trianon” march in downtown Budapest to mark the 96th anniversary of the signing of the WWI Trianon peace treaty. The march started from Heroes’ Square and passed in front of the Serbian, Romanian and Slovakian embassies.
