Full and vibrant viola sound, performance suggestiveness and perfect technical preparation – these characteristics define the stage presence of German Tabea Zimmermann, and if we were to replace viola for cello, then the same would be equally true of the musicality of István Várdai.

Over the past few years, the Hungarian State Opera has aimed to stage operas that have never or rarely been performed in Hungary. On 18 November 2017, the Budapest audience can see Rossini’s third most frequently performed opera, L’italiana in Algeri in a production directed by Máté Szabó.

Sebastião Salgado photographer (born Aimorés, Brazil, 1944) following his previous long-term projects, between 2004 and 2011 made more than 30 different trips into the distant corners of the globe to capture nature in its original state. After numerous successful exhibitions the Genesis project - consisting of 245 spectacular black and white photographs – now in Budapest!

On until 12 November. Slovakian sculptor Jozef Suchoža (1978) lives in Borsi (Borša) and teaches at the art academy of Besztercebánya (Banská Bystrica). After participating in numerous exhibitions, he is now appearing with his first large-scale solo exhibition, through which he wishes to present a summary of his oeuvre thus far.
