Love in the Time of Cholera, National Dance Theatre Budapest, 25 November
In their most recent production, Inversedance-Zoltán Fodor Company staged one of the most beautiful romantic stories in the world, the legendary work of Nobel prize winning author Gabriel García Márquez.

The core story of "Love in the Time of Cholera" tackles the various threads of a love triangle, but goes much deeper than that. The rambling novel, encompassing several decades, describes love, aging and human life in general through its three protagonists, sometimes realistically, sometimes with a bizarre surreality.

Now that the world is changing before our very eyes, perhaps it is high time to revisit this novel that revolves around waiting and patience as well as human lives and questions. Do we do everything to make our desires come true?

Do we fight against being controlled by others? Is our happiness only meaningful when reflected off another person? Can we accept aging and eventual demise? Do we live our lives as we really want to, or have we made our peace with our compromises that blind us with the illusion of happiness?
Place: National Dance Theatre Budapest
