Fewer Homes Built In Hungary In 2009
"Authorities issued 28,400 new home construction permits in 2009, a decline of 35%, the Central Statistics Office announced.

The 32,000 permits issued for completed new homes was down 11%.

The drop was larger in the second half, at 25% in both categories.

The average area of new homes was 89m2, down from 90m2 in 2008.

The number of new homes grew in Budapest last year but fell 50% in Zala, Hajdu-Bihar and Bekes counties."
