Volcano Grounds Flights From Budapest Ferihegy
"A total of 24 flights bound for northern Europe were cancelled at Ferihegy airport from Thursday afternoon as air traffic was paralysed by a huge cloud of volcanic ash spewing from a volcano in Iceland.

The eruption, which began on Wednesday, cancelled flights to Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ire-land, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden.

More cancellations have been announced for today.

The ash could appear over Hungary by 8 a.m. Friday morning, the National Meteoro-logical Service said."
