Hungarian Pro-Fidesz Daily Breaks Rank Over Court
"A editorial in Wednesday’s Magyar Nemzet was unusually critical of Fidesz and its announcement that it will reduce the powers of the Constitutional Court after it threw out the bill imposing a 98% tax on public-sector severance payments the previous day.

Matild Torkos wrote that “we must realise that our act, which is so highly popular, can conflict with our Constitution, such as the ransoming of severance payments exceeding Ft 2 million, if it is created by Parliament to ignore one of the key basic principles of the Hungarian rule of law.”

The Fidesz reaction was “an attack on democracy”, she commented."
