The cabinet intends to renovate and transform Budapest’s City Park before 2020, according to a decision published in the latest issue of official gazette Magyar Kozlony. The city zoo, the Transport Museum and the Petofi Csarnok concert hall will be renovated, while the Circus will be housed in a new building.

A new Museum Quarter will be built adjacent to the City Park.

The cabinet’s declared aim is to renew the entire park and upgrade it to a cultural theme park through the Liget Budapest project.
