Probe Launched into Wizz Air Hungary
The Competition Office (GVH) has launched an investigation into Wizz Air for not informing passengers about the limitations of online check-ins through mobile phones.

Wizz Air Hungary failed to inform passengers on its website between December 2022 and May 2023 that travellers with return tickets could not complete free online check-in from their phones because of the platforms limitations.

These passengers had to pay a euro 40 check-in fee.

The GVH calls on airlines to publish information on ticket sales transparently and to make it easily understandable and comprehensible to consumers.

The GVH has three months to conduct its investigation.
