Wow, where to start. We have made lots of progress on the renovation of our house and my husband has been busy with his language coaching business. I too, have been very busy with my writing and also the launch of Kreatív Fordítás; a translation and copy writing service; helping Hungarian enterprises market their business to English speakers.

2. On a scale of 1 to 10 how happy are you with your life in Hungary, and why?
Right now I would say about 10. Why? Because it feels right. Also, I have been on the scale of 1, and I am not going there again.

3. What’s the best party you’ve been to while in Hungary, and why?
Fortunately, Hungary is not short on party action. Probably the most memorable was one recently where I ended up playing darts (badly) with a fireman whilst husband turned into The Hustler taking on all the locals at pool. Luckily, nobody was hurt.

4. What’s your favourite drink?
I have never been known to turn down a glass of wine.

5. What hidden talents do you have?
I have been told I have healing hands.

6. What was the most interesting travel trip you have ever taken?
Ooh now you’ve got me. Probably a trip to Croatia over ten years ago, we certainly never thought we would be living ‘next door’ years later.

7. If you were given a wish that could come true, what would you ask for?
Global vegetarianism.

8. What’s the last book you read, and movie you watched?
I reread Wisdom of The Peaceful Warrior by Dan Millman. Last film; Thirteen Conversations About One Thing.

9. If someone wrote a biography about you, what would the title be?
Writing from the Hip: The Accidental Provocateur.

10. What is the perfect pizza toppings combination for you?
I have just discovered a garlic, cheese and tejföl pizza. I really am an animal.

11. If you could trade places with any other person for a week, real or fictional, with whom would it be?
I wouldn’t want to trade places with a person, but certainly a dog or a horse to see life from their perspective.

12. On a scale of 1 to 10 how unusual are you, and why?
Probably 11. Why? Ask my parents, it’s bound to be something to do with them.

13. What’s the best website you’ve ever visited, and why?
Doesn’t everybody use social media now?

14. Who do you admire the most, and why?
I don’t admire any one person, but any person or group of people who give of their time and energy to make a difference and care for others have my admiration. Whether that be working toward animal welfare or caring for a relative at home. These are the unsung heroes, the angels among us.

15. What do you like best and least about living in Hungary?
The weather; on both counts.

16. What has made the biggest impact on your life so far, and why?
Can I say a dishwasher? On a more serious note; the love of dogs.

17. If you won USD 30 million, what would you do with the money?
Assuming the dollar is still worth the paper it is written on, I would put the majority of the money to animal welfare activities. If not, I would use it to further insulate our roof.

18. If your life had a theme song, what would it be?
I Love My Dog by Cat Stevens

19. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose?
I have made that choice, for now.

20. In ten years from now what will you be doing?
Hopefully still loving, learning and laughing.
