Erzsébet has been working for UIP for 18 years, started as a Sales Manager in 2006. Since 2015 she has been holding the co-general manager and sales position there.

UIP Hungary is one of the biggest theatrical distributor companies in Hungary, they release the motion pictures of two Hollywood studios, Paramount and Universal.
 

1. Where did you grow up? 

In the middle of the Alföld. First, we lived in a small village with my family and later moved to Kunhegyes. 

2. If you could be an expat anywhere in the world, where would you choose? 

I’m not planning to move to abroad, but I like Nordic countries so maybe I would choose one of them.

3. What would you miss most if you moved away from Hungary?

I guess beside the family and friends, the theatres, there are so many great theatres are playing in Budapest, I’m sure it would miss me so much.

4. Friends are in Budapest for a weekend - what must they absolutely see and do?

The spectacular view from Margaret Bridge, and of course some classic movie theatres like Urania, Puskin and Művész.

5. What is your favourite food?

Derelye as my grandma made, that is a sweet pasta stuffed with plum jam or cottage cheese.

6. What is your favourite sport / form of exercise?

Swimming.

7. What is your favourite place in Hungary?

Budapest.

8. What career other than yours would you love to pursue?

I like my job I don’t think I should change my career. But maybe some cultural manager position fits with me.

9. What’s a job you would definitely never want?

Nothing boring.

10. Where did you spend your last vacation?

Copenhagen. It was nice and relaxing.

11. Where do you hope to spend your next one?

Some other nice European cities. I would like to visit Baltic countries sometime and Ireland.

12. What was your favourite film and book as a teen?

My favourite film was Flashdance, and my favourite book was Jane Eyre. 

13. Apart of temptation what can't you resist?

Ice cream.

14. Red wine or white?

White.

15. Book or movie?

Both. I love books and I’m reading regularly. And of course, I’m a cinemagoer. I love watching films in the cinema on the big screen.

16. Morning person or night person?

Morning.

17. Which social issue do you feel most strongly about?

Domestic violence and homelessness.

18. Buda or Pest side?

Definitely Pest. One of my favourite books from Ivan Bacher was Megyek Budára what explain perfectly why the Pest side is the best.

19. Which achievement in your life are you most pleased about?

I’m very proud of my whole carrier, I started as a cinema worker and I step by step I got to my current position.

20. What would you say is your personal motto?
