History is set to come alive in the Buda Castle this weekend with a medieval themed festival held around the Royal Palace. It's the first of its kind in this magnificent venue, it promises historical games and challenges, medieval style dresses and tools... As it's a family event there won’t be any beheading, burning and boiling, garroting, flogging or impaling, so don't expect to re-live the ...

I was intrigued to find out exactly what street food was on offer this weekend, in downtown Pest, at the historic Hold Street covered market hall. As WizzAir now provides expats in Hungary with flights timed for a weekend away in Malta, here's an insightful report about the ways locals suggest to enjoy this new 'Wizz destination'. "Two days isn’t enough!” my Maltese friends Michael and Jennifer exclaim when I tell them I’m coming to Malta to experience the island like a local. Their email recommends I stay at least four days, especially ...
Event Report: World Dog Show In Budapest

We went along to Hungexpo last weekend, to see the “World Dog Show”. What better place to hold this event than in Hungary, where everyone seems to love dogs. They bounced around, strutted their stuff…..and that was just the owners. It was show time for their dogs, and our four-legged friends didn't disappoint. In essence, this was a beauty pageant for literally thousands of dogs and their proud ...
