A 750 million forint repaving project at the Hungaroring race track on the outskirts of Budapest has started, the head of the track’s operator told business daily Világgazdaság. During its four days, some 186,000 people visited the Formula One Hungarian Grand Prix organised near Budapest for the 30th time, the head of Hungaroring Sport told public news channel M1. The number of visitors was 10% up from last year’s event, Zsolt Gyulay said. On Sunday, Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel claimed victory in the Grand Prix, round 10 of the 2015 FIA Formula One World Championship.

Hungarian football team Vác FC recently won 3-2, against Bölcskei SE, to the delight of expat owner and chairman Mr. John P. Marshall (pictured on left, with previous British Ambassador to Hungary Mr Jonathon Knott). This game was packed with goals as the video below shows, for the record the match scorers were Gulyás (2'), Kószás (22'), Pölöskei (35') and Miskovicz (9'), Tóth (19').

Cool but sunny weather welcomed the team as Vác FC travelled to FC Dabas last Sunday in the days Pest County Derby. Vác FC were focused on a victory in order to prevent Kozármisleny closing the gap at the top of the table and secondly, to get revenge for their loss against Dabas last autumn at Vác City Stadium.

Vác FC played against Gyulai Termál FC last Saturday. The match began with a minutes silence for the 'Day of the Dead’. A public holiday helped increase attendance ever so slightly. Despite the fog which created a spooky atmosphere, the match started and the weather cleared.
