Hungary’s hospitals performed a total 497 organ transplants last year, the head of the Hungarian Transplant Association said. Edit Szederkényi said that the operations included 343 kidney transplants, 89 liver, 51 heart and 13 combined kidney and pancreas transplants, as well as the first lung transplant in Hungary at the end of the year.

The number of visitors to Hungarian baths was up 2-4% year-on-year in the first six months, Baths Association head Szabolcs Juhász told Magyar Idõk. Growth in the summer is expected to exceed 2015 levels, which were especially favourable, he added.
