Krasznahorka Castle (hrad Krásna Hôrka in Slovakian) burnt down at the weekend, after children had been playing with fire in the vicinity.

The roof caught fire first, and the flames then spread to the rest of the building. Although there was an earlier building, work on the fortress began in the 14th century. It is in a region which has been populated by Hungarians for many centuries, and is an important monument to Hungarian history and culture."
