BKV Ticket Inspector Shot In Budapest
A man fired a gas alarm pistol at a BKV ticket inspector in Budapest on Sunday afternoon, police announced. The 23-year-old inspector suffered light injuries. The 52-year-old culprit was detained on the spot.

The incident occurred when three female inspectors and one male tried to get on an arriving bus but a middle-aged passenger prevented them, then pointed an object that looked like a pistol at one of the women.

As the male ticket inspector attempted to use gas spray against the passenger, the latter fired his gas alarm pistol.

Police began proceedings against him on suspicion of hooliganism.
