Hungary's Former PM Bajnai Distances Self From Gyurcsany
Former prime minister Gordon Bajnai distanced himself from his predecessor Ferenc Gyurcsany on M1 TV last week. Asked if the two could run together in the next elections, Bajnai said their political careers have taken separate paths.

He noted that Gyurcsany’s Democratic Coalition has a dedicated voter base, but said some voters reject them and the party will have to sort that problem out.

More generally, he said, there is hope for change, as Fidesz will have reason to be afraid if significant opposition forces join together.

Bajnai accused the cabinet of abusing voters’ trust and making one mistake after another.
