US Lawyers To Question Hungarian War Crimes Suspect Csatáry
American lawyers involved in the Holocaust lawsuit launched in 2010 against state railway company MÁV will travel to Hungary in June to question war crimes suspect László Csatáry at the Buda Central District Court.

Lawyer Charles Fax filed suit in Washington in October 2010 against the Hungarian state and MÁV as well as against Rail Cargo Hungária, the legal successor to MÁV Cargo, on behalf of at least 300 Holocaust survivors.

He accuses the railway companies of co-operating with Nazis in the extermination of Jews in World War II.

Several reports suggest that Csatáry, 98, played a key role in organising the deportations of Jews from Kosice as a police commander and that he personally took part in loading people onto wagons.
