Cherry Blossom / Sakura Festival, Fűvészkert Budapest, 12 - 13 April
Cherry blossom is celebrated in Budapest. This annual Sakura (Cherry Blossom) Festival is held at Füvészkert Botanical Gardens on 12 & 13 April. The Guest of honor and patron of the Sakura Festival is the Japanese Ambassador. Visitors can see the celebration of traditional Japanese art and culture, including origami and calligraphy exhibitions. There will be kids programs and authentic Japanese tea for the visitors.

Opening hours: 9 am to 5 pm, daily

Saturday 12 April:

• Hungarian Anime Association – origami, manga, drawing
• Children’s entertainment all day
11h: Kenéz László shakuhachi concert with Higashiguchi Shaari (voice), László Péter (iaido)
• 13.30h Japanese Archery presentation
• 14.30h: Dr. Balassy Zsolt & One River Iaido Acadey Japanese archery presentation – interactive
• 15.30-tól Villányi G. András and Lázár Júlia - poems
Guests: : Mondok Yvett opera singer, Talán Miklós musician, Kovács Zsolt dancer

Sunday 13 April

• 10h: Bakos Tünde playing Japanese songs on koto
• 14.h-14.30h Taiko Japanese Drums
