A left-wing analyst urges FM Szíjjártó to resign, because it turned out that his ministry lied when it denied the Russian cyber-attacks, while a pro-government pundit accuses the Left of falsely accusing the government of what they are doing themselves – selling out Hungary’s interests.
A pro-government analyst sees the juridical erudition of the President elected by the parliamentary majority on Monday as a guarantee against mistaken decisions.
Civil groups organised a demonstration in support of victims of child abuse and for “a healthy society” at Heroes’ Square in downtown Budapest on Friday evening.
The opposition Democratic Coalition will submit a public-interest data request and file a lawsuit asking for access to documents in connection with the clemency case of the former deputy head of the Bicske children’s home, Olga Kálmán, the spokesperson of the party’s parliamentary group, said, adding that people had a right to know “how the accomplice of the paedophile head of the children’s home” could have been pardoned.
