Budapest Mayor Promises New Cycle-Friendly Roads
Both the network of bicycle-friendly public roads in Budapest and MOL’s Bubi bicycle rental system will be expanded, mayor István Tarlós announced on Thursday.

Opening a conference on urban cycling in Budapest’s ELTE university convention centre, he said developing transport – including the creation of an integrated pro-cycle environment – are high priorities in the city’s long-term urban development strategy.

A further 16 bicycle stations and 300 new bikes will be put into service this year in the Bubi system at the city’s expense.
