Hungarian Low-Cost Airline Wizz Air Sees Gradual Recovery This Summer
Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air said it expects the aviation industry to recover partially by late summer as it published preliminary figures for its fiscal year ending March 31.

The figures show a net loss of €570-590 million, due to travel restrictions.

Wizz Air had a cash balance of €1.6 billion at the end of March.

The company will publish the full-year figures on June 2.

Due to the uncertainty surrounding travel restrictions, Wizz Air did not provide guidance for its current fiscal year ending March 31, 2022.

In the short term, the airline will continue to actively adjust capacity to travel conditions and, as a result, will continue to examine aircraft allocation on a market-by-market basis.
