The strategy, which covers the impact of AI on society, technology and businesses, maintains overarching goals and outlines new measures for the period until 2030.

It sticks to benchmarks in the 2020 strategy targeting AI-driven increases in GDP growth and productivity of 15pc and 26pc, respectively.

In view of the pace of AI's advance, the strategy will be reviewed annually, the ministry said.
