Budapest’s annual Jewish Cultural Festival will begin on Sunday and run for a week with concerts, theatre performances and film screenings. The biggest concerts will be held at the Great synagogue on Dohány utca, while theatre productions, concerts and film screenings will take place at the Goldmark Hall and the Rumbach utca synagogue.

Unidentified people have desecrated graves in the Jewish cemetery in Gyöngyös, in some cases scattering the remains of the dead, president of the town’s Jewish religious community Péter Weisz announced on Sunday.
