Hungary ranks tenth among countries favoured as study destinations by Brazilian students, the business daily Napi Gazdaság reports. So far 1,888 students have been awarded scholarships from the Brazilian government to study in Hungary under the Science Without Borders state scholarship programme.

The Kúria ruled on Monday that a person had lost his job as a result of unlawful discrimination because of his sexual orientation, the first such ruling in Hungary, Népszava reports. The plaintiff, a vocational secondary school teacher in Cegléd, said he will not give his name as he fears he may not find a job elsewhere.
