The Hungarian Ministry of Human Resources has appointed Szilveszter Ókovács as General Director of the Hungarian State Opera for the duration of five years. The Minister’s decision has been made in accordance to the recommendation of the Official Tender Board.

The money collected from the auction will be used to extend United Way Hungary’s Safety School program to even more children. "The cabinet has submitted to Parliament a bill that will give women preferential retirement terms, government spokesman Anna Nagy announced on Monday. Women will be entitled to a complete pension, after forty years of service, including up to eight years raising children, as of January 1, she added."
