This is one of the most colourful days on the Budapest social calendar and this year’s did not disappoint either. As the sunbeams cascaded across Szabadsag ter and balloons floated in the sky to the sound of bagpipes, you knew it was St. Patrick’s Day.

Futuristic Hungarian Piano Has Lift-Off

Is it a bird, a plane, or an exotic supercar? A new Hungarian made concert piano, developed under the inspiration of Kossuth Prize-winning pianist Gergely Bogányi, was recently presented to the press in Budapest. The sleek, futuristic Zengafons piano, which would not look out of place on the set of Star Wars, will make its public debut at the Budapest Academy of Music.

Every time the Irish Hungarian Business Circle (IHBC) members and friends visits the orphanage in Göd, it is usually fun, meaningful and worthwhile to the lives of the residents. December 6th is generally when Mikulás drops by your home and delivers gifts and so he did, much to the delight of everyone there.

The name of Igor Moisevey (born in 1906 in Kiev) became well-known by the style named after him, which he created by alloying the dances of different peoples with the elements of traditional ballet. He learnt dancing in the studio of the Great Theatre in Moscow. In 1924 he was already dancing in the Bolsoi, then became solo dancer and later ballet master.
