XpatLoop's Spring Networking Event, 27 April

Guests were welcomed by friendly hostesses from ProHuman - the largest HR service provider in Hungary since 1997.

The evening’s wine selection ranged from crisp whites, fruity roses and full-bodied reds, crafted by some of Hungary’s most elite wine makers.

Representing five of Hungary’s best-known wine regions were Villa Pátzay (Badacsony), Dubicz (Mátra), Patricius (Tokaj), Vida (Szekszárd), Gere Tamás és Zsolt (Villány), plus there was local brandy from Márton & Lányai.

Accompanying finger food from the venue enhanced the tasting, and kept guests on an even keel. Consisting of a ground-floor and cellar, Veritas Winebar has a decidedly modern and casual yet elegant feel. The whole space is the work of noted Hungarian interior designer Viktor Csap.

As one of the larger such wine venues in Budapest, Veritas Winebar gives guests sufficient room for manoeuvre, both at its proper wooden bar and individual tables. The downstairs big cellar area, where this event was held, can accommodate larger groups of upto 100 guests.

As at all related Xpat Wine Club gatherings, the overall atmosphere here was open and friendly, easing the way for everyone to make new contacts, both business and personal.

Guests from a wide range of ages and professional backgrounds - including law, real estate, marketing, insurance, and more -  were united by their interest in fine wine and the good company of fellow Xpats in the loop.
