This large-scale festival is put on for the public every year on 20th August. There is an exhibition of Hungarian crafts, a water and an air parade, and a firework display. This day is also a national holiday in honour of Saint Stephen (King István I.), founder of the state of Hungary, as well as the festival of the new bread.

The Csodalampa (Magic Lamp) Wish-Fulfilling Foundation grants wishes to children between the ages of 3 and 18 suffering from life-threatening illnesses. This has seen the foundation touch the lives of children with conditions including tumors, leukemia, muscle dystrophy and chronic kidney and liver illnesses.

The blessing of the bread is a traditionally integral part of the celebrations of 20 August. Traditionally, the first bread made of the newly harvested wheat was prepared for the day of St Stephen. The bread adorned with a ribbon in the national colours is the symbol of the national holiday.
