Concert of the Marquette High School Orchestra, Nádor Hall Budapest, 20 March
The Marquette High School Orchestra, of the Rockwood School District, is comprised of musicians 15-18 years of age. Rockwood School District is nationally renown for it’s orchestra program. Every third grader in each of the 23 elementary schools is required to play the violin for one year.

After that, students may choose to continue in orchestra and can stay with the violin, or select one of the other string instruments.

The Marquette High School Orchestra has performed across the United States, Canada, England, and Italy to great acclaim. Soloists and small ensembles from the school have also received the highest honors at festivals throughout the United States.

In addition to playing in their school orchestra most of these musicians perform in other ensembles ranging from church groups to the Saint Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra. These musicians are also consistently recognized for their outstand academic achievements.
