70,000 Hungarian households will see major changes in cable television programming after January 1. Barbara Stanislawczyk said the programmes to be broadcast in Polish, Czech, Slovak, and Hungarian would be aimed at presenting the cultures of the member countries and focusing on topical political issues.

The bill’s sponsors justified the extraordinary measure by claiming the measure was necessary to combat illegal online gambling.
