Prime Minister Viktor Orbán participated at the inauguration of the Tiszaliget Stadium in Szolnok, central Hungary, on Saturday. Rebuilding the stadium cost more than 2 billion forints (EUR 6.4m), of which 600 million was covered by the local football club, 400 million by the state and the rest through corporate sponsorship linked to tax preferences, Orbán said.

Budapest has submitted the first part of its application to host the 2024 Olympic Games to the International Olympic Committee, Balázs Fürjes, the government commissioner for the bid, announced.
